Year 11 Biology students will be studying the module ‘Ecosystem Dynamics’. An excursion has been organised to complete mandatory fieldwork as well as to provide enrichment and stimulate student interest and learning in these topics. Field notes/worksheets completed on the day will be checked and discussed in class. Transport will be by bus. Students are required to be at school by 8.25am.

Time: 8.25am to 3.20pm
Location: Penrith Lakes Environmental Education Centre
Essential Equipment: Morning tea, lunch and drinks (including water). There are no facilities to purchase food/drinks. Please bring pens, lead pencils, eraser, clipboard, calculator.
Attire: Clothing suitable for conducting fieldwork (including closed in footwear). Singlet tops, sandals, thongs (or similar) are not permitted.
Mandatory: Hat and sunscreen to protect students from the sun as there is very little shade in some areas (sunglasses optional).
The excursion will go ahead even if it is raining. Please be prepared with wet weather gear such as raincoats and umbrellas.
