Dear Parents & Caregivers,

We are aware of overcrowding on several morning and afternoon school bus services to and from the College. We have been liaising with Busways, Hillsbus and Transport NSW to rectify this. At this time, one Hillsbus service has been added to the morning schedule. If a bus is at capacity, the driver is meant to contact the depot for another bus to be dispatched to collect the remaining students along the route. However, this has not always been the case.

A request has been made for inspectors to attend the College in the morning and afternoon to witness and monitor the large volumes of students on the buses. The bus companies and Transport NSW are continuing to review student numbers using Opal data. Please remind your children to tap on and off a bus service, as this data assists Transport NSW with planning.

A Google Form has been sent to students via Google Classroom requesting information about which bus routes they travel on to and from the College, as we are unable to obtain this data from the bus companies, Opal or Transport NSW. It is imperative that this data is collected promptly to assist with planning for the changing needs of the College community.
