Dear Parents & Caregivers,
An excursion has been organised for Years 9, 10 and 11 Agricultural Technology Students to visit the Sydney Royal Easter Show at Homebush on Friday 12 April, 2019. In the lead up to the show the students have been involved in preparing poultry for the show which will be exhibited. The purpose of this excursion is to allow the students to gain an appreciation of both the diversity within the Agricultural industry, and the types and suitability of various enterprises for the different farming regions. Students will be involved in workshops run by the Royal Agriculture Society on various agricultural issues.
The students will be required to wear their full College sport uniform and must bring a clipboard with writing materials. Students are also encouraged to bring their own recess and lunch, as the food available for purchase at the venue can be quite costly.
The cost of the excursion is $26.00 per student. This includes both transport by bus and admission to the venue. Students will be leaving school at 8.30am and returning to the College by 3.30pm (possibly later).
Students in Year 11, with parental permission, may stay at the show and make their own travel arrangements home.
Please fill out the permission form below by Friday 1 April, and make payment through the Trybooking link below.
PLEASE NOTE: We are currently trialling a new payment gateway through trybooking for our excursions. Please go to the link below to make payment via Credit Card. A service fee will be added to the booking but PLEASE NOTE we have factored this into the total cost of the excursion and have absorbed this cost. Also note that American Express payments incur a 1.1% charge in addition to the total cost of the excursion.
