4th May 2018
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
We have been advised by the police to alert the school community to an incident that occurred earlier this week. On Tuesday 1st May, a girl who attends Marian Catholic College, was walking home after school in Rouse Hill. She was approached by a middle aged man, driving a black sedan, who tried to persuade her to get into the vehicle. It has subsequently been determined that a similar approach was made towards another Marian student in December 2017.
The police have asked us to make these events known and to encourage our families to inform the school if you have any information relating to these incidents or if your children report any experiences of this kind. We will then liaise with the Hills Local Area Command and keep you informed of any developments or safety recommendations they provide.
Please speak with your children about a plan for their personal safety as they travel to and from school each day. We will also reinforce this message at school.
