An excursion has been organised for Years 9, 10 and 11 Agricultural Technology Students to visit the Sydney Royal Easter Show at Homebush on Wednesday 28 March, 2018. In the lead up to the show the students have been involved in preparing poultry for the show which will be exhibited. The purpose of this excursion is to allow the students to gain an appreciation of both the diversity within the Agricultural industry, and the types and suitability of various enterprises for the different farming regions. Students will be involved in workshops run by the Royal Agriculture Society on various agricultural issues.
The students will be required to wear their full College sport uniform and must bring a clipboard with writing materials. Students are also encouraged to bring their own recess and lunch, as the food available for purchase at the venue can be quite costly.
The cost of the excursion is $28 per student. This includes both transport by bus and admission to the venue. Students will be leaving school before homeroom at 8.15am and returning to the College by 3.19pm. Payment can be made via cash in a sealed and labelled envelope to the Student Foyer, or via credit card when filling out the online form below.
Students in Year 11, with parental permission, may stay at the show and make their own travel arrangements home.
