Dear Parents and Caregivers,
A Field Trip has been organised for Year 11 Agriculture students on Monday 5 March, 2018. They will be visiting The Elizabeth Macarthur Farm (Corner of Finns and Remembrance Drive, Menangle) then onto Sydney University Robotic Dairy (Brownlow Hill Loop Road, Camden), to see first-hand a commercial farm. The purpose of this field trip is to meet the Preliminary Syllabus Farm Case Study requirements, which is a compulsory requirement of this course.
Students will not be required to wear their College uniform. However, they must dress in practical attire with enclosed footwear. Each student must bring a clip board and writing materials as the worksheets will need to be completed on the day. There are no shopping facilities, so students are also required to bring their own morning tea, lunch and a water bottle.
The cost of the excursion per student is $42.00 which covers entry into the dairy and bus transportation to and from the venue. Students are to meet at Marian Catholic College at 8.15am to depart for the excursion. Our expected return time to the College is 4pm. Students will need to make arrangements for their transport from Marian Catholic College to home.
All forms and payment must be completed before Monday 19 February, 2018. The cost of the excursion has been closely calculated to cover the entry fees and bus charges. Excursions must pay for themselves, and for this reason refunds for non-attendance cannot be made.
If you have any concerns or queries regarding this excursion, please contact us at the College on 9654 6700.
