Dear Parents & Caregivers,
In 2019, all Year 7 students will be offered the following vaccinations through free school-based vaccination clinics:
- A two-dose course of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine
- A single dose of the Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis (dTpa) vaccine
The vaccination clinics will be conducted at the College on the dates below. If students miss any of the following doses, they may be able to receive a catch up vaccination during the next scheduled clinic.
Wednesday. 28 February 2019 – 1st dose HPV & dTpa
Wednesday, 18 September, 2019 – 2nd dose HPV
Students would have received the NSW School Vaccination Program envelope containing information regarding the program, and a consent form. Please complete the consent form using black or blue pen only, and have your child return it to the Student Pastoral Foyer by Tuesday 26 February.
Please remind your child to eat breakfast on the morning of the vaccinations, and to bring their own water bottle with them on each of the above dates. It is important for students receiving vaccinations to drink plenty of fluids before and after each vaccination. Students are to wear their full College sport uniform on vaccination days.
Following each vaccination, your child will be given a Record of Vaccination card to return to you. Please retain these for your records, and inform your GP that these vaccinations have been administered to your child.
Additional information regarding the program can be found on the NSW Government Health website www.health.nsw.gov.au/immunisation.
Should you have any further questions or comments regarding this program, please call me at the College or call Health (Western Sydney Local Health District) on 9840 3603.
