Dear Parents & Caregivers,
As part of the Year 9 Physical Activity and Sports Studies Program your son/daughter will be completing their Bronze Star Lifesaving Award. This award includes a theory and practical component.
The practical component needs to be assessed at a pool.
Details of the day are as follows:
|When:||Monday 26 November, 2018|
|Time:||9:00am – 3:15pm|
|Where:||Riverstone Swimming Pool, Garfield Rd, Riverstone|
|What to bring:||Students must ensure they bring their recess/lunch, sunscreen, hat and a water bottle. There will be a canteen available at the venue.|
|Uniform:||Full sport uniform, including swimmers, towel, hat, (long sleeved shirt and trousers for swim test). Females are to wear either one piece swimmers or a singlet over the top of the 2 piece swimmers.|
|Transport:||Students will be travelling to and from the venue by bus.|
$12.00 (bus and pool entry)
$11.00 (optional cost for Bronze Star & Royal Lifesaving Society Certificate)
Total: $23.00 with certificate and accreditation (Payment OPTION 1) OR $12.00 without certificate (Payment OPTION 2).
Please fill out the permission form and make payment by Thursday 22 November, 2018.
For payment options, please choose either OPTION 1, which is the total cost of $23.00 (including certificate) OR please choose OPTION 2 of $12.00 for bus & pool entry only. If a student does not pass their award, they will be refunded the $11.00 for the cost of the award. As this is an assessment task, normal procedures for absences should be followed.
PLEASE NOTE – Payments can be made by credit card via the form below. Credit card/EFTPOS/cheque payments can also be made in the Student Foyer. Students will need to line up for payments to be processed and recorded. Please note we can no longer accept cash payments in the Student Foyer for this excursion.
The students will be fully supervised by Marian Catholic College teachers and pool lifeguards when they are in the pool.
